Te Huia turns one today - with the commuter train having spent a chunk of that time, off the track thanks to Covid-19

The passenger train between Auckland and Hamilton has been hugely impacted by the pandemic, with the service being shut down for all Auckland's lockdown last year.
Waikato Regional Council Chairman Russ Rimmington says having the rail closed for three months made it impossible to deliver the desired passenger numbers.
He says Covid has been a nightmare for the rail.
