A homicide investigation has been launched after Val Heaney was found inside her Walcot Street home in Bromley on Monday.
Heaney was in her 60s, and started running her family home as a boarding house after her husband died around 13 years ago.
One neighbour says they'd heard yelling and high-pitched voices on Sunday afternoon - but not enough to put them on edge.
They were shocked to find out the next day Heaney had died.
