Wellington City Council contractors, escorted by police, have demolished some makeshift structures at a protest occupation in Mahanga Bay

There've been concerns about a temporary school, sanitation issues, and the Department of Conservation has been investigating a seal being skinned and eaten.
The Miramar Peninsula encampment of tents, campervans and cars formed after the anti-mandate protest at Parliament was broken up in early March.
Some camp structures have been demolished this afternoon -- with debris including pallets and corrugated iron taken to the Southern Landfill.
