Star News reports Thirsty Liquor in Huntsbury was ram-raided about 2am on Wednesday.
It follows a spate of similar robberies between Bay of Plenty and Auckland.
Thirsty Liquor owner, Gagan Deep, says CCTV footage shows a car with two people inside hitting the store, before reversing and ramming it a second time.
He says one of them was filming it, so it seemed like the pair were playing Grand Theft Auto, and wanted to show off.
Deep thinks they were imitating a ram raid at Ormiston Town Centre a couple of nights ago, which involved up to 16 young people.
