From childhood idol to national team mate

From childhood idol to national team mate

20 year old Christchurch paddler Olivia Brett will get an opportunity to link up with Dame Lisa Carrington in the K4 boat at two Canoe Racing World Cup events in Europe this month.

Brett's one of two new faces selected for the first time alongside teenager Tara Vaughan.

Brett admits she still catches herself marvelling at what both Carrington and Aimee Fisher can do.

Fisher wasn't considered for selection given her position outside of Canoe Racing NZ's high performance programme.
