Michael Venus is optimistic he will be reunited with his regular doubles partner for this month's French tennis Open

Germany's Tim Puetz has been sidelined with an ankle injury since the Monte Carlo Masters last month with Venus instead teaming up with Britain's Jamie Murray.

The temporary pair are through to the Madrid Masters quarter finals and will also team up next week in Rome.

World number nine Venus says Puetz has just about recovered.
