Hospitals are seeing unprecedented spikes in patients just ten days into Winter

Leaked emails show Middlemore's emergency department in South Auckland saw over 120 patients more than usual, two nights in a row this week.
Australasian College for Emergency Medicine's Kate Allan says it's extremely difficult, and hospitals are overwhelmed nationwide.
She says patients are not able to get the care they need because of overcrowded departments.
