Air New Zealand is warning it's going to have to hike fares due to rising fuel costs and high demand.
Former aviation boss Irene King says the whole industry is facing the same issues and input costs are up around 66 per cent on last year.
She says there's no indication prices will lower anytime soon, but history tells us when it comes off, it comes off spectacularly.
