    There are calls for the appointment of a retired judge.. or two.. to review the Christchurch City Council's process and practice dealing with the Bromley stink


    Christchurch's wastewater treatment plant was impacted by fire at the start of November, and the Mayor has apologised for the way the council has communicated to residents.

    Local businessman David Lynch says retired judges are one way to ensure a review is truly independent, and robust.
