The bruising flanker has been granted a lifeline, named in the side after being cleared by the judiciary following his two yellow cards in the semi final.
Matera's says it's an opportunity for a career first.
Sam Whitelock returns in the only change to the run on side while the Blues starting 15 is unchanged, with Dalton Papali'i bracketed on the bench as he returns from having his appendix removed.
