Around fifty mourners have gathered and grieved at Joanne Ingham's funeral in Wellington this morning

Around fifty mourners have gathered and grieved at Joanne Ingham's funeral in Wellington this morning

Amazing Grace played as her coffin was carried out of the small, intimate ceremony at Lyall Bay Baptist Church.

People could be seen crying, hugging and singing along to the music.

Joanne and her twin sister Sarah first made headlines in 1997 when at age 18 they stowed away on a Malaysian container ship.

Ingham was found dead last week at the Harbour City Motor Inn -- with police treating her death as unexplained.
