TJ Perenara insists being dropped by the All Blacks isn't as bad as people might think - and he's honoured to be named to make his debut for the Maori All Blacks instead

Perenara says getting to represent his whanau with the Maori in the upcoming midweek matches against Ireland in Hamilton and Wellington is a huge honour.

So possibly never getting to play his 79th match for New Zealand isn't that important.
