A shock discovery at an Auckland facility for defendants on bail while facing criminal charges

A police raid of the Ahikaa Trust's central Auckland apartment block -- which provides accommodation for up to 12 people with nowhere else to go while on bail or parole -- turned up guns, ammunition, meth and cash.

One military-style semi-automatic with a silencer was concealed in a communal space.

No one's been charged over the cache of criminal goods, but a 31-year-old man has been charged with having possession of meth for supply.
