The Black Caps paceman has relinquished his New Zealand Cricket contract to achieve a better balance with home life, while also playing in T20 leagues.
Boult accepts contracted players will likely have priority, but he's still keen to play matches where he can.
It's expected he will be available for the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia later this year.
Boult's in the West Indies with the Black Caps ahead of their six game tour starting in the morning.
