Auckland have stunned top-seeded Taranaki to advance to the National Basketball League final

Auckland have stunned top-seeded Taranaki to advance to the National Basketball League final

The Tuatara have claimed a 107-104 win over the Airs on the North Shore, despite being down by five points with fewer than five seconds left of regulation.

After a two-point shot from captain Rob Loe, he produced a steal and sunk a three-pointer to send the game to overtime at 91-all.

Loe finished with 29 points, 19 rebounds and six steals.

Airs coach Trent Adam says the Tuatara took the initiative when it mattered.

The Tuatara will meet the winner of tonight's semi-final between Nelson and Otago in the decider.
