Secondary school teachers are calling for the Government to invest in young people

It comes as a new campaign was launched, in support of their collective agreement negotiations which began last month.

The PPTA says one of the ways to invest, is by ensuring salaries and working conditions can attract, and keep graduates.

President Melanie Webber says their current situation is heartbreaking.

She says they need to make sure they're putting the pay and conditions in place to attract and retain the best teachers for their students.
