The Warriors and Manly have warned their players against using the sport to show support for a jailed former Sea Eagles player

The Warriors and Manly have warned their players against using the sport to show support for a jailed former Sea Eagles player

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Sydney's Daily Telegraph reports the head of the NRL integrity unit Jason King reached out to Warriors CEO Cameron George and his Manly counterpart after it was suggested players had made signals to show support for jailed former teammate Manase Fainu.

Fainu was found guilty last week over a 2019 stabbing and is in custody ahead of sentencing next month.

Warriors captain Addin Fonua-Blake, who used to play for Manly, was one of two players across the clubs who appeared to signal 'six and one' after scoring tries on the weekend, thought to be a reference to the Sydney postcode where Fainu grew up.
