A Wellington bakery's announced its three stores will all close - blaming a revenue fall-off on council road works outside one shop

A Wellington bakery's announced its three stores will all close - blaming a revenue fall-off on council road works outside one shop

Bordeaux Bakery's 40 staff are losing their jobs.

Owner Tony Bates says turnover's dropped 60-70 percent since the council began removing carparks to install a cycleway and speed bumps on Thorndon Quay.

Bates says he's devastated to close after 30 years in business.
