New Zealand are 199 for six, chasing 583 for victory at tea on the third day of the second cricket test in Wellington

The Black Caps are clinging to survival, mainly through the exploits of a revitalised Tom Blundell.

The Wellington College old boy has offered a glimpse of his sparkling best, marching to 86 with a penchant to hit spinner Shoaib Bashir over the sight screen towards his past school.

He's received able support, initially from Daryl Mitchell with 32 in a partnership of 47 and currently from Nathan Smith with 25 in a partnership of 58.
