New Ministry of Transport figures show more than a third of transtasman flights have been running late

New Ministry of Transport figures show more than a third of transtasman flights have been running late

    Air New Zealand
    Air New Zealand
Just 61 to 68 percent of flights of airlines monitored departed within 15 minutes of schedule between July and October.

Air New Zealand was below the industry average, with between 54 and 61 percent departing on time.

The national carrier's cancellation rate hit 5 percent in October, more than twice the industry average.

The Ministry of Transport's summary says Air NZ reports ongoing engine availability problems significantly affected their performance during those four months.
