    Captain Pat Cummins is unlikely to travel to Pakistan and the UAE due to an ankle injury while fellow seamer Josh Hazlewood is understood to be dealing with a hip injury.

    Mitchell Marsh has already been ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury.

    Steve Smith and Travis Head are the leading contenders to step in as skipper.
