Julianne Hough has adjusted her dating expectations for 2025

The 36-year-old star was previously being "very intentional" about who she dates - but Julianne has decided to change her approach since the turn of the year

Julianne - who was married to hockey player Brooks Laich between 2017 and 2022 - told E! News: "I've been very intentional about what I'm putting out and what I'm excited to attract and hopefully be attractive to, but I will say that I kind of just threw that out the window."

The TV star's new approach is already paying dividends, with Julianne admitting that "life has been very fun the last month".

She shared: "It kind of brought me back to the joyful, playful side, versus being so serious.

"Sometimes, when you're intentional, you can get a little bit tunnel vision, and so, I kind of was like, 'You know what? I'm just gonna be playful and fun.'"

Asked what kind of partner she's looking for, Julianne replied: "Someone super hot."

Last year, Julianne confessed that she wanted to "build a life with somebody and have a family".

The TV star predicted that she'll ultimately end up with a male partner - despite previously revealing she's "not straight".

During an appearance on the 'Jamie Kern Lima Show' podcast, Julianne shared: "I feel like I'm going to end up with a man.

"I want to be living and vibrating in the pace of my most authentic self for that to be what attracts whoever it is versus I'm gonna put what I think I want and need out there and then literally force-create it."

Despite this, Julianne insisted she was feeling "content" at the time.

She said: "That's still, like, where my heart is open - but I'm content, which content used to scare the s*** out of me."
