    The two people killed in a crash in the Waikato were Indian students studying in New Zealand


    The crash occurred on Monday at Ohakuri south of Tokoroa.

    Police say the men were 22-year-old Bikramjit Singh and 21-year-old Mukul Jaglan from Auckland.

    The third person in the vehicle remains in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital.

    Two people in the second vehicle involved received minor injuries.

    Taupo Area Road Policing Group Senior Sergeant Fane Troy says it's too early to say what caused the crash.
