    A cruise ship passenger is in Whangarei Hospital after being taken ill in the Bay of Islands


    The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust says a woman in her 70s was transferred to Waitangi by ship's tender.

    She was then flown to Whangarei where she remains in a critical condition.
