A helping hand to get Waikato youth into the construction sector

Just over one million dollars from the Provincial Growth Fund is going into two projects.

A 10-week programme run by Waikato Tainui and the Building and Industry Training Organisation, will help school leavers into three-year apprenticeships and supervisor qualifications.

And Emergent Skills NZ will get locals building homes, to sell to local housing providers.
