An ex-prison officer who's pleaded not guilty to murdering Christchurch man Michael McGrath has been granted bail

The builder disappeared from his Halswell home in May, 2017.
School friend, David Benbow, was charged with his murder in 2019.
The 52-year-old pleaded not guilty and will go to trial in August next year.
Today at the High Court in Christchurch, Justice David Gendall granted Benbow electronically-monitored bail to an address in Dargaville.
He must not enter the South Island unless given court approval.
