Covid-19 has been detected in wastewater ... across the country
22 December 2021
We have 56 new community cases today -- including one in the Hutt Valley.
They are linked to the Lakes DHB area, and are isolating along with their household contacts.
A positive wastewater sample was collected from Hutt Valley two days ago, as well as in Napier -- the third result in the past week.
There are also unexpected detection in Whitianga and Dargaville -- and the virus is continuing to pop up in Gisborne wastewater, too.
Six new recent returnees in MIQ have the Omicron variant, bringing the total tally to 28.
