Police are appealing for information about the death of a 23-year-old in New Plymouth last week

Rei Marshall was brought to Taranaki Base Hospital last Wednesday.

He later died of his injuries.

Detective Senior Sergeant Gerard Bouterey says police would like to get dashcam footage from people who travelled down South Road on Wednesday.

They also want to talk to anyone who witnessed erratic driving in the area that day.
