    Fears of slippery business in Greymouth - where several hundred eels have gone missing


    The eels were a well-known attraction near the West Coast's Apostles View Motels - where many would stop to feed them.

    A reward's now being offered for any information about the distinctive long-fin fish.

    Fresh water ecologist Mike Joy reckons they might have been nicked.

    Joy says the eels are on the threatened species list.
