    A magnitude 5.4 earthquake has been felt across parts of the North Island in the past half hour



    GeoNet is reporting it occurred 20 kilometers south-east of Tokorua, and was 159 kilometres deep.

    It may have been felt in areas such as Cambridge, Hamilton, Rotorua and Whakatane, and jolts were reported as far south as Wellington and Levin.
