A High Court challenge to the Three Waters reforms by a trio of councils - has failed

The District Councils of Timaru, Waimakariri and Whangarei - went to the high court in June, saying they feared the Government would redefine ownership.
They asked the court for a declaration on the rights and interests entailed by property ownership.
The Court has ruled the Government can continue creating legislation to enact the reforms, and dismissed the application for declaratory relief.
