MetService has issued Heavy Rain Warnings for Coromandel Peninsula and northern Gisborne

A Heavy Rain Watch is in place for Hawke's Bay and southern Gisborne.

Strong Wind Watches are in place for Bay of Plenty east of Whakatane, Taupo, Tongariro National Park, Taranaki,Taumarunui, Waitomo and south Waikato.

The watches and warnings will remain in force till later in the day tomorrow.
