    A busy week for Southland Police, as their Operation Pakari results in at least 20 arrests and 85 charges..


    The investigation is part of Operation Cobalt, focusing on violent offending and gang harm.

    20 warrants have been executed this week in Mataura, Gore, Invercargill, Dunedin, and Hamilton.

    Arrests have been made across Southland, and in Auckland and Hawke's Bay.

    All have Mongrel Mob links -- with the most significant charges including attempted murder.

    Inquiries are ongoing and Police aren't ruling out further arrests or charges.
