Two people have been charged as part of an investigation into the stabbing of a person in Te Kuiti last week

Two people have been charged as part of an investigation into the stabbing of a person in Te Kuiti last week

Around 9am yesterday, Police executed a search warrant at a known gang-pad in the North Island town, where ammunition and weapons were seized.

A 37-year-old man and 34-year-old woman have been charged with assault and will appear before in court next week.

A 24-year-old high-risk offender was also arrested in the search for outstanding warrants.

Police say it continues their commitment to holding offenders to account, and disrupting gang activities through Operation Cobalt.
