Police are asking for help to find nine youths who broke into a Napier business overnight

The group smashed through the front of a liquor store on Carlyle Street by hand just after 3.30 this morning - it's believed one is seriously injured after cutting his leg while kicking the door.

Police say the amount of blood left at the scene indicates he suffered a serious injury, which would appear as an obvious limp.

Large amounts of alcohol and vape products were taken.
