That's what Northland faces overnight tonight.
The wild weather including severe gales and heavy rain threatens eastern and exposed areas.
MetService meteorologist Alain Baillie says it will be a dangerous night as the remnants of ex-tropical cyclone Lola bear down on the region.
An orange heavy rain warning and a strong wind warning are in place until tomorrow morning.
In the Far North, more than 400 homes lost their electricity early this afternoon in Russell and Rawhiti.
There have also been outages in Whangaroa, Ruakaka, Oakleigh, Springfield, and ,in the Maungaturoto area.
