Another day of crashes, delays and deaths on our roads

A person has now died after a crash in Tuturau in Southland overnight.

There are delays on Taranaki's State Highway 3 at Norfolk, near Inglewood, where a truck tipped over this morning.

State Highway 35 is also blocked at Whangara, north of Gisborne, because of surface flooding and a crash that's injured two people.

In Rotorua, a mobility scooter rider's died after a collision with a motorbike - and a person's died after a crash in Te Puke.

Meanwhile, Police investigating a hit and run death in Lower Hutt's Naenae have named the victim as 62-year-old Anita Rani.
