A man who's admitted causing a fatal crash in Canterbury's Castle Hill this month - was driving on the wrong side of the road

Court documents provided today state the crash was soon after the overseas national had stopped to take photographs.

He was travelling with his wife and child - and had just resumed driving before crashing.

Greymouth woman Sue Johnson died in the crash, and her husband and four others were injured.

The man will be sentenced in February.
