Up to 30 cats have been killed by roaming dogs in South Auckland suburb, Conifer Grove

Residents say packs are terrorising the neighbourhood - and dogs are commonly sighted throughout wider Manurewa-Papakura.

Residents Association chair, Kelvin Hiett says a community group went out most nights between 10pm and 5am - tracking track down four dogs.

He says once the black female was caught - cats stopped being killed.
