A Hawke's Bay man is raising funds for charity by aiming to walk 100 kilometres in his 100th year

Havelock North's Hamilton Logan, has partnered with Hawkes' Bay Foundation, to start a "Second Chance at Life" Fund.

He's hoping to create a funding stream for their local rescue helicopter service, the Rural Support Trust and St John Ambulance.

Logan says he's already clocked over 50 kilometres, and plans to knock off the rest by November.

He wants other to join him - especially school children, friends and business associates.
