Queenstown Airport has gained international recognition for its biodiversity work

The Green Airports 'Platinum' Recognition award was announced at the Airports Council International annual conference.
Queenstown has been collaborating with the Whakatipu Reforestation Trust and Shotover Primary School to restore the Shotover Wetland.
The airport says it's involvement means restoration should be completed within 10 years.
Chief Executive Glen Sowry says it's a fantastic opportunity to benchmark their efforts.
