Rotorua is flooded with cyclists as it hosts the country's mountain bike marathon

Rotorua is flooded with cyclists as it hosts the country's mountain bike marathon

The three day Whaka 100 Mountain Bike Marathon is underway at Whakarewarewa Forest.

More than three thousand mountain bikers, local and from around the globe, are taking on the city's world-class trails.

Rotorua NZ chief executive Andrew Wilson, says the area is pretty special for riding.

He says it's unique to be able to ride long distances on a singletrack and not end up on the same trail twice. 10-26-24 1025
