A suspected bird strike has forced an Air New Zealand flight to abort its take off in Christchurch

A suspected bird strike has forced an Air New Zealand flight to abort its take off in Christchurch

Flight NZ207 to Brisbane was due to depart just after 6am this morning

Engineering teams are completing a full aircraft inspection to confirm the cause, while Flight NZ272 from Brisbane to Wellington has been cancelled as a result.

An Etihad Airways flight also aborted its take off in Melbourne last night, after an issue with its wheels.
