The man charged with murdering a teenage Whangarei motorcyclist, is the victim's brother

The man charged with murdering a teenage Whangarei motorcyclist, is the victim's brother

18-year-old Kyle Jenkins was found dead in a creek beside State Highway 15 on Otaika Valley Rd in Maungatapere last month. On February 4, the day of the victim's funeral, police charged 20-year-old Brooklyn Izzax Jenkins with murder with a firearm. The Northern Advocate reports his interim name suppression lapsed when he appeared in the High Court in Whangarei today. He's pleaded not guilty and has been remanded in custody until the end of March for a case review hearing.
