Signs of a significant boom in house prices in the five years since Covid struck

Signs of a significant boom in house prices in the five years since Covid struck

New OneRoof data shows prices in over 200 suburbs rose by more than 250-thousand-dollars since the first lockdown.

Queenstown's Arrowtown and Lake Hayes were the only suburbs that saw growths of over one-million-dollars since March 2020.

OneRoof editor Owen Vaughan says there was a slump, but that came after a phenomenal amount of growth.

He says prices went up 40 percent, and while it came down around 14 percent thereafter, there was still a lot of gain.
