    19-year-old Alexandra Eala 's giant-killing run has ended in the semifinals at the Miami tennis Open


    The unheralded Filipina has been beaten in three sets by Jessica Pegula , the American triumphing 7-6, 5-7, 6-3.

    Eala had set point in the first set but then suffered back-to-back double faults.

    The wildcard came into the match on the back of threee straight wins over grand slam champions - Madison Keys, Jelena Ostapenko and Iga Swiatek .
