Police will be out in force across Dunedin's student quarter as Flo-Week draws to a close

Police will be out in force across Dunedin's student quarter as Flo-Week draws to a close

Officers are expecting flat parties to reach their peak over the next three days, and have planned for these to be staffed accordingly.

It comes after a young man was found in a critical condition after falling from a university building earlier this week.

Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen's urging students to avoid risky behaviour, such as climbing buildings or throwing bottles.

He says the increased patrols are designed to keep students safe - not to dampen the fun.
