Christchurch residents can expect an increased Police presence in Northcote, after a gang-related firearm incident on Hoani Street

Four people were injured - one critically - during the altercation on Wednesday night, with two still in hospital.

Detective Inspector Nicola Reeves says Police are following strong lines of enquiry and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

She says specific people were targeted at the address, and there's no believed risk to the wider public.
