    A timely breakaway has seen Invercargill cyclist Tom Sexton claim stage three of the Tour of Southland


    The 148-kilometre trek from Riverton to Te Anau culminated in the 25-year-old edging Japanese rider Shunsuke Imamura in a sprint finish.

    Sexton describes how the stage played out.
