A truck fire's blocking State Highway 5 in both directions, through Rotorua's Fairy Springs

Emergency services were called to a bitumen tanker leaking between Henderson Road and Fairy Springs Road about 6am, before it caught fire.

NZTA says diversions are in place and the road is likely to remain closed until about midday.
